Preface: Research comprises of creative work undertaken on a systematic basis in order to increase the stock of knowledge, including knowledge of man, culture and society, and the use of this stock of knowledge to devise new applications. Research can be defined to be search for knowledge or any systematic investigation to establish facts. The primary purpose for applied research (as opposed to basic research) is discovering, interpreting, and the development of methods and systems for the advancement of human knowledge on a wide variety of scientific matters of our world and the universe. Research can use the scientific method, but need not do so. Scientific research relies on the application of the scientific method, a harnessing of curiosity. This research provides scientific information and theories for the explanation of the nature and the properties of the world around us. It makes practical applications possible. Scientific research is funded by public authorities, by charitable organisations and by private groups, including many companies. Scientific research can be subdivided into different classifications according to their academic and application disciplines. Research can be defined as a scientific and systematic search for gaining information and knowledge on a specific topic or phenomena. In management, research is extensively used in various areas. For example, We all know that, Marketing is the process of Planning & Executing the concepts, pricing, promotion & distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchange that satisfy individual & organizational objectives. Thus, we can say that, the Marketing Concept requires Customer Satisfaction rather than Profit Maximization to be the goal of an organization. The organization should be Consumer oriented and should try to understand consumer’s requirements & satisfy them quickly and efficiently, in ways that are beneficial to both the consumer & the organization.
