Role of Employability Enhancement Training in Placement of MBA Graduates

Abstract The aim of the study is to understand the importance of Employability enhancement training for the MBA pursuing students and how it lays the foundation for long term or stable sustainable employability. The employability enhancement training is not only restricted to emphasize the students to get job after the completion of their degree but also ensures essential behavior, necessary skills and information in them. These pave the path for the long-term association of employees with their organization and hence overall sustainability can be achieved. The study has been carried in Nagpur with a sample Sample size= 230, 100 students (Employees) who have recently joined industry ,Two batch of 50 students (100) and 30 HR managers which together constitute 230. Universe for the study is Nagpur city and the sampling technique is convenience sampling. The data collected were analyzed with relevant statistical tools like Mean, Linear Regression, T test and ANOVA. The study shows employees who have sincerely attended employability enhancement training during their college days get placed early and easily. This training programme has reinforced the people in regard to knowledge and behavior which make themcope easily in the corporate world as they have good tolerance level and positive mindset. Such employees think for a longer term of association with their organizations. Sustainable HRM is only possible when it would be aimed from both the sides and hence personnel with right attitude and belief are key to the successful implementation of it. The study is limited to Nagpur region. The study is eye opener for students, academician and HR managers. The study highlights the current issues of academic world and expectation of corporate world from students. The study is based on primary data analysis which explores the subject from three angle one from student point of view, second from employees and third from corporate world which is makes it unique, reliable and interesting.
